The universal emergency line 112 works in Albania the same way as in all EU countries – it integrates the dispatch of the ambulance, the police and the fire brigade . Operators at this number should be able to take calls in English and possibly other world languages.

In Albania, you will not be exposed to greater health risks than in other countries of Southeast Europe. No mandatory vaccinations are required for a holiday in this beautiful country . However, vaccination against hepatitis A or B, tetanus and, possibly, tick-borne encephalitis is always useful. However, if you need medical help, we recommend using a private hospital or private practice. Therefore, be sure to take out insurance that will also cover hospitalization or treatment in private hospitals.
